Couch Potato Pickings – Die Hard 4.0

Die Hard 4.0

On Sky Movies Premiere tonight at 8pm

I won’t be watching this. When this movie came out at the cinemas last July, it did so in a blaze of publicity. Many of my friends and colleagues went to see it, and in its first weekend the film took almost £10million at the box office. Back then I had absolutely no desire see it, and this week, with the film debuting on Sky Movies Premiere, I still have no desire to see it.

I’ve just taken a look at the trailer and I can confidently say that fast-paced action just leaves me cold. Also, with this being the fourth outing of this franchise, surely that means I’d have to sit through the first three to fully appreciate it – no chance.

I’m told that wisecracking Bruce Willis is on form in the movie, but if he comes with non-stop explosive noise, then I don’t care. If I’m going to watch wisecracking Willis, then I’d much rather watch him in the 1980s classic Moonlighting.
