How many people do you think there are, this weekend, suffering the misery of an itchy sleeping bag, creepy crawlies, badly cooked campfire food and rain beating down on the tarpaulin?
So many people have over the years tried to convince me of the joys of camping but, sorry, I love my home comforts too much.
I think that’s the reason anyway. Or maybe seeing this movie at an early age laid the foundations for my lack of enthusiasm. It’s hardly a good advertisement – tents blowing away, shower cubicles with peepholes, people creeping into the wrong tents at night, the list goes on. However, it’s fabulous fun and the double entendres are as quick-fire as Barbara Windsor’s bikini top.
