My partner recently developed a snake phobia, possibly after watching an episode of Jonathan’s Creek where a dwarf is swallowed by a snake. Keen to overcome this unfortunate development, I set my hopes on addressing the fear head on with this horror Western in which a desert town is infested by a swarm of snakes.
My idea didn’t go down too well, so I ended up watching this movie on my own. I’m not a big fan of Westerns so I did get a bit twitchy and impatient with all the machismo, gunfighting and card sharping. The snake bits were fun though, even if the special effects were bad.
