I’m not a big fan of Joy Division’s music, but since I come from the North West of England I grew up with this band’s story. The band’s lead singer Ian Curtis was a troubled soul and this film is an appropriately bleak portrayal of his life. It’s also very powerful though and definitely worth seeing.
