I got the book from the Library in late 2008. I am a dog lover and have one rescue dog and one rescue cat, I also look after Guide Dogs for the Blind, most being Labradors. I loved every minute it took, to read this book and I can’t wait to see the film. I laughed, I cried (especially when the Wife got so depressed after losing a child, that she told her Husband to get rid of Marley) fortunately this did not happen. I have been through all the antics with my Labradors that this family went through. Marley, over the years, cost them a small fortune with the damage he did to the house whenever he was left alone. In the end, they found out that he was afraid of Storms. He lived until he was 13, by which time the family had 3 children. I broke my heart when he died because I have been there so any times with my dogs. I highly recommend this film and as I said, can’t wait to see it.
