Couch Potato Pickings
On ITV2 tonight at 12 midnight
Sharp and powerful, this film, made in 2003, is the story of a 13-year-old girl (Evan Rachel Wood) who transforms from a sweet teenager into a stroppy, backchatting monster when she comes under the malign influence of a troubled schoolfriend.
The movie not only won Holly Hunter an Oscar nomination for playing the girl’s mother but it’s based on the real-life experiences of then 15-year-old Nikki Reed who wrote the screenplay and who also stars in the movie as Wood’s disturbed best friend.
