When smart and sassy 16-year-old Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) discovers she is pregnant, she decides to find the perfect parents to adopt her unborn baby. Well-to-do suburban couple Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner) seem ideal, but as Juno’s pregnancy progresses cracks begin to show in the Lorings’ seemingly idyllic marriage.
It’s not the teenage pregnancy plotline that drives this comedy but the brilliantly witty script.
If only teens would communicate like this in real life.
Maybe some do, but I only ever get exposed to the Vicky Pollard types, or those whose idea of speech inexplicably involves forming words without the tongue touching any part of the mouth cavity.
