Couch Potato is taking a break (and some life-affirming movies)

For the past few weeks I’ve been far too busy to call myself a couch potato, As a result, my brain is mush (or should that be mash?) and I’m sure I’ve been spouting a load of potato waffle.

So, I think it’s time to take a break, and since I turn 40 this weekend – a time when supposedly ‘life begins‘ – I intend to take leave of my couch and get out there to do a bit of serious living.

That means that for a week or so I won’t be checking out the small screen (although I will be making an exception for Eurovision next weekend), so in the meantime I hope you enjoy my gallery of life-affirming movies.

I love some of these but Shawshank Redmption would be on mine too

Hmm, for me Shawshank isn’t life affirming because the men spend their life in prison.
