This musical movie tells the true story of Hispanic pop singer Selena Quintanilla. She rose to stardom in the early 1990s after releasing her first album at the age of 12, but in 1995, at the age of 23, the vocalist was shot dead by the president of her fan club.
This was the film that shot Jennifer Lopez to fame. Her performance as the ill-fated Selena also earned J-Lo a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.
