In today’s multimedia world where the latest info is available via many platforms at the click of a button, it’s hard to believe that when a War of the Worlds radio drama adaptation of HG Wells‘ Martian invasion novel was broadcast in 1938 in the US it saw many listeners panicking. They believed it was for real (or so the story goes – read more about that here).
While the very obvious fictional nature of the Steven Spielberg movie version with its Tom Cruise lead and special effects won’t have you battening down the hatches any time soon, I am really curious to know what you think about the possibility of a real life alien invasion.
