Pete’s Peek | Melissa George in the terrifying Triangle

From the director of Creep and Severance, comes Triangle, a time-bending horror thriller set aboard a deserted cruise liner.

Melissa George (Amityville Horror, 30 Days of Night) stars as Jess, a young woman with an autistic son, who joins her friend Greg (The Secret Life of Us star Michael Dorman) for a day out sailing on his boat, the Triangle. When a freak storm hits the ship, the group are forced to dock a passing ocean liner called Aelous – a ship Jess is convinced she’s been on before. The ship appears deserted, but events quickly take a turn for the worse when the group find themselves being hunted down by a shadowy figure.

Director Christopher Smith took two years to write Triangle, and four years to complete it. The result is a strange, weird, wonderful mad vision. There’s twist after twist as Jess tries to get to grips with why she seems to know what happens next.

Like The Shining on water with a Tales from the Crypt twist thrown in for good measure, Triangle is an explosive, roller-coaster ride that will shock, dismay and frighten. And top honours go to Melissa George who breathes life into the very demanding role of Jess.
