At the Cinema | Michael Jackson’s This Is It

Michael Jackson’s This Is It

Check out the trailer below for a sneak peek of the new Michael Jackson movie which hits cinemas for a limited period from Wednesday 28th October. Not surprisingly, given the two-week window of opportunity to see the film on the big screen, record ticket sales are already being announced by the distributors around the globe, who have billed it as a ‘special celebration of Michael and his music’.

In reality the movie, cut together from the hours of footage shot during rehearsals for the cancelled O2 Arena concerts, is a concert movie without the concert!

A tad bizarre maybe – but then the man himself was no stranger to the bizarre.

Still, on the strength of the trailer at least, this looks like a fitting tribute to the performer’s remarkable showmanship, and for once, it’s nice to get a chance to dwell on Jackson’s exceptional talent rather than his  controversial and ultimately tragic private life.

Plus, it may also be some compensation for those thousands of devoted Jackson fans who queued up for hours for tickets they never got to use.

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

To activate the sound in the trailer: hold your cursor over the screen to reveal the control panel and click on the volume control in the bottom right-hand corner.
