Here they are – the 10 most romantic movies of all time!
At least, that’s the verdict of our writers, who came up with 50 of cinema’s top romances. All this week we’ve been counting down the chart and we’ve now reached the top 10.

Lovely to see two oldies in the top spots… And also interesting that of the top ten romantic movie, in five of them the lovers do not get their happy ever after! Thanks to death, duty or extreme stupidity (yes, Scarlett, I mean you!). Think that probably says something really significant about how we view romance in modern day society… But it’s too much of a downer to contemplate, frankly.
