i like them but not with names – too troublesome
I have 12 tattoos.. I love them.. I would love a full half arm or half leg but hubby said no.. so instead im going to go for a back piece
Tattoos tells the story and mark the passing time of a persons life. For people that don’t have a cool scars like I do to tell my tales.
I think they are a valid form of self-expression – but one would have had to think up the words/design/font/positioning themselves, individually. Anything else, as, say, chosen from the tattoo artist’s staple design book, might well turn out to look tacky and something one couldn’t relate to in a couple years.
I wouldn’t have one – in case I changed my mind.
they are artful if done properly everyone has a story to tell i guess tattoos are personal so not everyone will apppreciate why or what you have !
I wouldn’t have one personally but at the same time I have also seen some tasteful ones so I think It depends on what they are and where they are. I can’t say Im too keen on things like LOVE written on peoples knuckles or anything like that! lol
i like them, but dont like whole bodies tattoed, but each to their own
Hi I love tattoos there are beautiful peaces of art if done properly i have 3 myself and want one more
Don’t mind them so long as they are artistic
Form of art
Look ok at the time not so sure a about a wrinkled 70-80 year old with one though!!!
mainly awful
I think it is up to the individual to decide for themselves
i love them as long as they are done tastefully and not too many
I think artistic ones can look good on toned, athletic bodies but can’t see any appeal of permanent ones that ‘brand’ you for life. There’s a stigma attached to temporary ‘tats’ but they are much more preferable to me
Do you still have the same posters on your bedroom that you had when you were younger…our tastes mature like our bodies?
most are absolutely awful
hate them on the legs of men
Look awful on girls!
some tattoos look good but now when they start sagging.
Some of them are really lovely and look good on fit young things, but tend to look less good as people age…………….
Love the odd tattoo but dont like people who are covered in them x
I like tattoos in moderation i dont like it when people are covered head to toe in them i dont mind the odd one or two
I think that people may regret having them when they are older, and out of fashion, or simply get fed up of them. I really don’t like them at all!
Won’t look so good on wrinkly skin!
I have one and I love it but wouldn’t have a coloured one myself!
I only like tatoos that say something about the person and that will not get dated.
i have one…a tiny one…on my arm. i had a burning desire to get one when i was young so got a very very small one…and now i’m glad i did get such a weeny one! i now hate the bloody things. those ones on blokes arms that cover the whole skin. bleughhhhhhhhh!!
Dont like them very much
Love them…I have to …I have three!
If they well drawn and not too in yer face i think they very attractive. But all depends on size and design
I don’t have any tatoos, I like them but I don’t like to see too many on a person.
I think to have one tattoo is ok but not the whole body as it makes it ugly
A few well placed ones are tasteful and artistic, but I don’t like to see bodies covered in them
I quite like them, i have one of a unicorn. I don’t like too many though.
Tattoos are definitely an art. They are such a personal thing and each one means something special for one reason or another to the wearer. I would never cover a whole area of my body with them and I wouldn’t have a huge design but I would love a small tattoo as an expression of my commitment to the special person in my life. It would be something that no one else need know is there
It’s a passing trend to have them now, but I do wonder how many people will in a few years regret having them done.
I don’t think I would have one myself, I would be worried it looked awful when I’m old and wrinkly lol – but I think they do look fab on some people – there is some nice art out there (and some bad though of course).
Hate Tattoos
Tattoos can be beautiful, original, meaningful or downright stupid and ridiculous and sometimes ugly.
There’s nothing wrong with having your skin inked but clearly too many people rush into it without thinking and are full of regret often sooner then later.
Don’t like them-most people I know regret getting them!
Tatts look great on the young, but aren’t a good look later in life.
Love ‘good’ tattoos, i have 1, my kids have a couple, i have yet to see how they look on an elderly person.
I’ve seen a few good ones but also quite a few not so good! its not something I would have done myself but on the right person, in the right place I think they can look good
think tattoos look great but not been brave enough to get one yet!
I think tattoos are wonderful, but often misunderstood and intimates people. A dragon tattoo in a lady means “creator”. I really do admire the artistry in making these wonderful creations, which often have meaningful messages behind the tattoo
Not a big fan of tatoo’s and I would certainly never get one myself as I dont think I’d be happy with whatever design I’d pick after about 6 months, never mind for the rest of my life!!
I like them…in moderation. If you have ten or more, I think this is too much.
Small, black, discreet ones are fine, but not keen on obvious, big ones.
love them, I have 4 and still would like another.
horrible. all horrible. yuk yuk yuk. bleugh bleugh bleugh. i hate them. yuk. and yuk again. and again. and an extra yuk for luck……
I think Tattoos are a double edged sword to be honest – in one way they are great for getting emotions out in the form of art, but at the other end of the scale you will look like a but of an idiot with a Harry Potter tattoo at 80 years old!
Love tattoos. Never had one myself, it’s a needles thing, as long as it’s more of a meaning thing rather than a fad, I know someone with the picture of a camel on her toe! Not very classy but funny at the time, she does not regret it, as it’s not on show much, but she will when she’s older, I want to be brave and have one myself you never know, I just might go on a whim and get one.
dont want one, but dont mind them
Don’t like ‘em. You’ll find that all these folk with tattoos will regret their choice in their older years.
I think tattoos are cool and individualistic. It personalizes the individual and marks different points in life.
They are symbolic, decorative and strangely addictive. Very rarely will you find someone with just one and you will find there are reasons behind the tattoos and locations. I think they are fantastic and show an insight into human life.
Don’t mind them but would never have one!
I am not a big fan of tattoos, however I do have one myself which I got when I was 15. They can look really pretty and be meaningful however I find that the majority are quite tacky.
A tattoo is a work of art. And it also reflects the owner’s feelings and interests. It is also a sign of courage, since not all people can handle a needle poking them with ink.
I love tattoos, I currently have 8 and each of them mean something major to me, i get them as an artform to map out my life so each day I can look at them and see the various things that have got me to today, I know that you still open yourself to critisism in getting them but as long as your getting them for yourself and no one else then it shouldnt matter in the slightest!
I don’t mind them on other people – but they’re not for me!
I love Tattoos
i am a body piercer & my husband is a tattoo artist they are most defiantly art
can be nice, if done tastefully
