Arise Sir Bruce!
It’s been a long time coming, but yesterday finally saw Brucie head to Buckingham Palace to receive his knighthood from the Queen.
Talking about how it felt to finally become Sir Bruce, he said, ‘It was very emotional. I’m surprised how emotional I was.
‘The Queen said, ‘you’ve been entertaining us for a long time. How long have you been in showbiz?’, and when I said 70 years she couldn’t believe that.
‘As a child, I couldn’t possibly imagine being here today and in this wonderful setting and to have this wonderful honour…’
