not 9pm, not Battlestar Galactica, not Sky One
Amongst tonight’s highlights, a serious lowlight – there’ll be no episode of Battlestar Galactica tonight. Ben already mentioned this last week, but in case you missed it, it seems the powers that be suddenly twigged Sky One had managed to get a week ahead of the US, which of course was a direct contravention of Section 12, paragraph 23 of the US TV executive code of scheduling, which forbids Brits to ever know what’s happening in a major show before their American counterparts. Sky are showing the Lost finale rerun an hour earlier instead.
10pm, Smallville, E4
Clark’s long-lost cousin Kara wastes no time making waves in town, entering the Miss Sweet Corn Pageant, but it quickly becomes clear to her fellow contestants that she’s more than capable of bringing about global peace and saving the world’s orphans. Meanwhile, Clark has an unexpected visitor. In another piece of ‘stunning’ scheduling, E4 are repeating last week’s episode 2 at 9pm for those who missed it, but if you also missed last week’s episode 1 you’re out of luck. Maybe we should set up a scheduling school.
10pm, Moonlight, Living
SERIES FINALE We say series finale, but unless someone intervenes it’s also the show’s finale, as Moonlight has been axed in the States by CBS (the same network that axed Jericho). A human/vampire coupling ends in a rather violent crime of passion and before long the authorities are baying for blood, and LA’s vampire community faces the very real threat of being outed, forcing Mick and Beth to confront the realities of their offbeat relationship. If you want to join in the campaign to save the show, you can sign an online petition or even write to the networks.
