Brotherhood is one of those little gems tucked away on satellite that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, so you may well have missed it when it first aired.
A modern-day take on the age-old Cain and Abel theme, set in an Irish neighbourhood in the USA, the drama centres around two brothers on opposite sides of the law: politican Tommy, played by Jason Clarke, and gangster Michael, played by Jason Isaacs. While Tommy pursues ambitions as a rising star in politics, Michael seeks power the only way he knows how – amidst the gritty underworld of violence and crime.
The DVD boxset of season one of the show will be available to buy from Monday 26 July and, as well as eleven gripping episodes, it also features cast biographies and film biographies.
