We’re embarrassed by how little we’ve mentioned the excellent Chuck of late. The slacker-action-comedy that isn’t Reaper is gearing up for its rip-roaring second season – which will eventually air in the UK on Virgin 1. In case you missed Firefly legend Adam Baldwin (aka Chuck’s sociopath guardian Casey) host this peek at the new series at Comic-Con, a sneakily recorded video is above.
What other spoilers are doing the rounds? It seems Casey’s going to become increasingly torn between his near-friendship with Chuck and his duty to the country, while the Nerd Herders will be vying for the post of manager at the Buy More – and Morgan’s mom is going to catch the eye of store boss Big Mike. Ellie’s marriage to Captain Awesome is going to result in the Awesome-in-laws causing all sorts of hassle, and Chuck’s former college-pal-turned-enemy Bryce is going to be back – along with Jill, the girl who broke Chuck’s heart at uni. And that’s all before you take into account Simple Lifer Nicole Ritchie making a guest spot as superspy Sarah’s high-school nemesis, and The OC’s Julie Cooper Nichols- and CSI’s Lady Heather – Melinda Clarke camping it up as a wacky Russian spy.
We’re also going to be treated to a series of webisodes, with one released between each weekly TV episode, that will feature the shenanigans of the Buy More staff – the unsung heroes of the series. Like the Heroes and Office webisodes, it’s unlikely we’ll be able to view them officially in the UK via the NBC website, so keep your eyes on YouTube. I’ve been watching season 2 of Chuck as it airs in America. One word? AMAZING. But my friends are refusing to watch it until it actually airs on the telly. I hope it won’t be Spring until they see it it.
My favourite couple ever are Chuck and Sarah, and they just have the greatest scenes. Very swoon-worthy.
I think Virgin 1 have really screwed up this one… me and every other person I know who watched series 1 has just been watching the eps as they’ve aired in the US. When it airs on Virgin 1 a hell of a lot of people won’t even be watching….
You’re right, Mal. It makes no sense for Virgin 1 to wait when us impatient Chuck fans are watching it via less orthadox means. And then they’ll complain about how it performs ratings wise…
And sorry, Nicola, it seems we will still have to wait a little longer before Virgin 1 find space between their titilating documentaries to fit the series in.

Hey Tom, at the moment you can only legally access Chuck season 2 episodes online if you’re in a country that has already aired them.
I’m afraid we can’t encourage discussions about any other method of accessing episodes on our blog.
I think we just need to keep hassling Virgin about it – maybe it’s time to start an online petition!
April 7th is the date that has been released on Zachary Levi’s website and facebook. The countdown Begins!!

It’s spring already…. when do we get Series 2. Gonna have to start downloading it and to hell with Virgin if they don’t air it soon.
We’ve heard from Virgin 1 today that they will definitely be showing Chuck season two this summer, though we can’t be any more specific than that at the mo.
But with only a few episodes left of the Sarah Connor Chronicles on V1, perhaps Chuck will fit into that slot?

I absolutley loved season 1 of chuck and really can’t wait for season 2! I have been waiting for season 2 for agesss and cant wait to see it this May HOPEFULLY!
Apparently they’re going to put The Unit on in its place! Gah, Virgin 1 only buy two good shows, Terminator and Chuck! When Terminator had its mid-season break neither my friends nor I realised when it was coming back on as we weren’t watching Virgin 1 to catch adverts for it – after all except for Chuck and Sarah Connor who would do so through choice? – and we consequently missed several episodes. If they’d advertised when Chuck was back during T:SC I’d know when to watch it but now I reckon I’ll probably end up missing loads of that too before I realise when it’s on!
Virgin 1 also has the unit so thats 3 good shows.

I read in a satellite tv guide that it’s back on 9th June so hopefully that will stand now.

It will definatly be on Virgin1 on 9th June at 9pm. I’ve checked listings and on the dvr and both confirm it. Its called ‘ Chuck Versus the First Date’ and I’m so excited that Vigin have finally got round to airing it!
