BAFTA award-winner Brenda Blethyn (Secrets & Lies) is back as Vera, the unconventional detective tasked with solving unsavoury crimes. The four-part second series, set once again in Northumberland, sees Vera, her right hand man Joe (David Leon) and the rest of the team set out to solve the suspicious suicide of a police colleague and race against time to stop a killer from striking twice.
