Nathan and Haley are all loved up again, and decide to hire a nanny so they can both work on getting their careers back on track – you’ll never guess who they plump for. Meanwhile, Lucas is back in town, still living in cloud cuckoo land thinking he can get Lindsay back, and Brooke is somehow allowed to foster a seriously ill baby from abroad who has been brought to the US for specialist treatment. If there was a competition for programmes most needing suspension of disbelief, OTH would definitely beat the rest – even Prison Break!
9pm, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Hallmark
The one and only Liza Minnelli guest-stars in this episode, in a storyline that strongly resembles the JonBenet Ramsey murder case from the 1990s. Minnelli plays the mother of a child pageant star who was murdered several years earlier, and takes a shine to Goren when he reinvestigates the case after new evidence comes to light.
10pm, The Wire, FX
McNulty finally cracks under the pressure of maintaining his manufactured serial killer case and spills all to Kima and Beadie. Probably for the best, since the FBI’s profile of the alleged killer comes up a lot like Jimmy! He is developing a touch of the psycho about him… Meanwhile Sydnor is hours away from cracking the clocks code, Carcetti makes some dangerous political deals, and Omar’s attempts to smoke out Marlo come to a head.
