Predictably, Michael and Lincoln’s troubles are not over – much as they would love to have thought so in last week’s episode. Our favourite former jailbirds have now been framed for Trishanne’s murder by the double-crossing Don Self, who then makes matters worse by taking Gretchen’s sister and daughter hostage. He thinks this will encourage Gretchen to help him find a buyer for Scylla, but is kidnapping her relatives really going to endear him to the raven-haired one?

When Chloe and Jimmy go missing after their engagement party, it turns out that they’ve been snatched by a deranged kidnapper who has decided to make sure that they’re really meant for each other. The corpses of another couple in the kidnapper’s lair seem to indicate that not all of his victims pass his test – can Clark and Lois find their friends before it’s too late?
