9pm, Prison Break, Sky1
NEW SERIES Michael’s finally free, but still a prisoner of sorts, trapped in a desperate desire to have revenge on Gretchen and The Company for chopping Sara’s head off. Of course we all know now that she’s not really dead (bang go Lincoln’s chances of winning the Krypton Factor observation round) but the brothers still think it really is time The Company gets its come-uppance. The two-hour special aired last night in the States to mixed reviews, but it can’t be much worse than the widely maligned season three…
9pm, CSI: Miami, Five
The team investigate the murder of a top American footballer, but their usual slice ‘em and dice ‘em technique is thwarted when the corpse is whisked off to be cryogenically frozen. Surely if you think future scientists will have perfected the art of bringing the dead back to life, a few autopsy scars won’t be beyond their fixing skills either – I might see if I can become a consultant for the show’s scriptwriters.
10pm, Smallville, E4
After a few episodes that have felt like the show was treading water, things take a dramatic turn as Lex turns on Lionel and reveals just how far he’s prepared to go to fulfil his ambitions – making him look much more like a proper arch-enemy for Superman. Now we just need to get Clark flying!
