Melinda finds herself in deep trouble (literally!) when she discovers an ancient town buried beneath Grandview while trying to help the ghost of a woman who was executed for witchcraft 150 years previously. She only has herself to blame though, wandering off down dark tunnels at night all by herself with no satnav… And yes, that is Angel‘s Amy Acker maintaining her fantasy drama credentials as the old witchface.
10pm, Private Practice, Living
The show’s still going through some painfully slow character development, but Addison’s on top form as always, putting her foot firmly in her mouth around a more aloof than usual Pete, and there’s a lot of cake going on too. If you’re a fan of Tim Daly, who plays slow burner Pete, you’ll be pleased to know he’s also in new show The Nine, starting tomorrow on FiveUS. Watch this space…
10pm, Smallville, E4
Green Arrow crosses Lex’s path once too often, so Lex hires the sassy Black Canary to sort it out. She may have a sweet-sounding name but that’s where the tweetness ends. You can see her in action in the clip below. Come to think of it, her super power is a lot like that of the new postman character who’ll be featuring in series three of Heroes. I like postie’s special effects more, but she definitely comes out top in the superhero costume contest.
Shonda Rhimes is known for slow character development. It took her 4 seasons to reveal anything about Alex on Greys.
But I’m glad they haven’t revealed much about Pete’s past on PrP yet – we know his wife died mysteriously & that they were in an un-happy marriage. But I do hope they reveal more about Addie’s past as we know nothing about her family or childhood, other than the fact she has a trust fund, so obviously comes from a rich background.
