This weekend’s big US dramas

Desperate Housewives - Marry Me a Litte

Saturday, 10pm, CSI: NY, Five
A Native American chief ends up dead in the subway, and evidence leads the team into the worlds of Irish hurling and online poker. Conclusive proof, along with the recent bird-dropping-eyeball storyline, that NY’s scriptwriters need a holiday. Soon.

Sunday, 9pm, Supernatural, ITV2
After discovering a series of novels depicting their lives as demon hunters, Sam and Dean decide to try to get a movie deal too. No, I jest – they have a chat with the author, a chap called Carver Edlund, who informs them that the demonic Lilith is coming for Sam. (Surely that’s a line from Cheers?)

Sunday, 9pm & 10pm, Lost, Sky1
SERIES FINALE In the true spirit of the show, I really don’t want to give anything away about what happens. Suffice to say you will be scratching your head for weeks to come after the double bill, and driving the non-Losties in your life mad with endless discussions about Jacob, Locke, Ben et al.
• There’s no Fringe, because of the Lost double bill – it’s back next week with an equally stonking finale!

Sunday, 10pm, Desperate Housewives, E4
Tensions mount as Bree struggles to keep Orson in the dark, and Susan and Jackson continue to keep up their pretence for the authorities. Meanwhile Lynette is stunned when Tom considers plastic surgery to maintain his youthful looks. Well, if they got rid of Nicolette Sheridan…

Sunday, 11pm, Dirty Sexy Money, E4
Nick finds out Lisa has taken KiKi to Maryland, so he borrows the Darlings’ jet to go after her. Just one problem – Karen and Brian tag along too… Karen is on her way to a sperm bank, while Brian has planned a secret romantic rendezvous with his ex-wife. Elsewhere, Simon tells Nola that he suspects that Jeremy’s amnesia isn’t real…
