This weekend’s big US dramas

NCIS - REQUIEM

Fri, 9pm, NCIS, Five
Gibbs finds himself in deep water (literally) after he investigates a case connected to a friend of his daughter, who was killed years ago. It’s quite an emotive episode.

Fri, 10pm, Pushing Daisies, ITV1
An escort from a rent-a-friend agency (is that what they’re calling it now?) dies, and Ned befriends the prime suspect, the slightly creepy taxidermy-loving Randy – guest star David Arquette. Maybe he can get last week’s murderous piggy stuffed…

Fri, 10pm, Boston Legal, Living
Alan defends a top cardiologist who’s been charged with the death of a nurse. Just one problem – the doc’s wife is Phoebe Prentice, one of Al’s old flames, and Al’s judgement is somewhat clouded as a result.

Fri, 10pm, Numb3rs, Five
One of the brothers’ childhood friends dies in a surfing accident, but Alan is convinced foul play was involved and presses them to take on the case. Feel free to insert your own surfer-related phrase at this point.

Sat, 9pm, CSI: NY, Five
The CSIs investigate the death of a man who owned a house relocation property, but Flack is distracted by his sister Samantha’s erratic behaviour, and we’re perturbed by Adam’s ‘Alternative use of a household object’  No.14, featuring the humble carrot.

Sun, 9pm, Lost, Sky1
After all that name-calling and gun-pointing by the harbour, the Oceanic Six discover the way back to the island, but funnily enough they’re not all keen to return. And another member of Jack’s family makes an appearance.

Sun, 9pm, Supernatural, ITV2
Oh brother! While investigating a mysterious illness that makes its victims drop dead of fright, Dean is infected and Sam and Bobby are up against the clock to stop him being sent back to Hell.

Sun, 10pm, Generation Kill, FX
First Recon finally gets a chance to use their skills when they get intelligence about a potential ambush at a bridge. They have to hold back while another troop mount the assault, but find themselves in combat as they bring up the rear…
