There’ll be new episodes of The Simpsons appearing on Sky1 at the end of the month, but in the meantime, here’s the ultimate in Simpsons indulgence – 90 minutes of Homer creating pandemonium in Springfield with the cutest pet pig on TV since Arnold of Green Acres (who knew a pig could run for president???), the whole clan discovering the joy of nature in Alaska, and a full frontal from Bart. Sauce!

A Marine captain is murdered in Baghdad, so Tony and ‘Neat Nut’ Nikki (Abby’s nickname for her, not mine!) volunteer to travel to Iraq to investigate. Hard to believe Nikki would want to be somewhere without a cupboard of antiseptic handy, but her motives becomes clear as she and Tony spend time together in the war zone.
Sun, 10pm, Dexter, FX
Lila tries to milk some sympathy from Dexter about the loft fire, but you really shouldn’t try to pull the wool over the eyes of someone who works in forensics… Meanwhile, Lundy gets one step closer to the truth about the Bay Harbor Butcher’s identity, and Doakes keeps up his bloodhound impersonation. How is Dexter going to weazel his way out of all this?
