Fri, 10pm, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Five
This season of SVU has featured more guest stars than you can shake a stick at! In the past few weeks we’ve seen Martin Short, Matthew Modine and Heroes‘ Hayden Panettiere, and tonight’s first episode sees Alfred Molina and Angela Lansbury getting in on the action as Benson and Stabler probe a rape and murder case which leads them into the clutches of a powerful family. Elsewhere, Novak is attacked while working on the case late at night – not the first time that the feisty ADA has been put at risk in the line of duty.
In tonight’s second episode, Benson and Stabler investigate when a woman is sexually assaulted and her baby thrown out of a car. As the detectives dig deeper, they unravel a complicated story of addiction, abuse, desperation and robbery. Just another day at the SVU.
Sun, 9pm, Burn Notice, FX
SVU doesn’t have the monopoly on guest stars – this week’s Burn Notice features none other than Lucy Lawless, who plays Michael’s latest client and worked with BN‘s Sam – Bruce Campbell – on Xena: Warrior Princess. The case proves an emotional one for Michael, who is hired to track down the woman’s estranged husband and her missing son. Can our hero put his personal feelings aside and get the job done?
Sun, 10pm, John from Cincinnati, FX
Shaun’s porn-star mother Tina (Chandra West, 90210, NYPD Blue) continues to make her presence known this week, as she lets the Yost family know that she is back in town – much to the displeasure of Cissy (Rebecca De Mornay). Elsewhere, Bill receives a strange mandate from Zippy.
Sun, 10pm, Desperate Housewives, E4
In the last visit to Wisteria Lane until next year, the poor old Scavos have got more trouble to deal with care of naughty son Porter. Could he really have started the fateful fire at the club? Susan’s also having a bad week – no surprise there, then – as she realises that she has lost Mike for good. It’s not all bad, though – Carlos finds out that he might be able to get his sight back, and Bree’s cooking demonstration provides some comic relief when it goes somewhat awry.
