NEW SERIES Canadian drama series set around the world of the security agents working in Canada’s Immigration and Customs department, dealing with terrorists, and arms and drug dealers. Being Canadian, it does sit on the America-bashing side of the border, which you may or may not enjoy. In the opening episode, the team apprehend a Syrian terrorist at Toronto airport.
Sat, 9.20pm, CSI: NY, Five
Popsters Maroon 5 make a guest appearance in tonight’s episode, playing a concert which descends into a riot situation. A woman dies in the melee, but the autopsy reveals the real reason for her death is that she’s toxic (pity they couldn’t get Britney Spears really) and it seems she’s not the only person in New York to have been exposed to the poisonous substance…
Sat, 10.20pm, Law & Order, Five
A woman whose firefighter husband left her for his colleague’s widow is accused of killing his new lover, but her lawyer blames her behaviour on post-traumatic stress syndrome arising from the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York. Some of the team are inclined to be gentle under the circumstances, but Jack is determined to see justice done.
Sun, 10pm, John from Cincinatti, FX
SERIES FINALE If you’ve been sticking with the show, well done – the bad news is that a second series is highly unlikely unless another network decides to make it. There is some resolution by the end of the episode as John and Shaun return from wherever it is they’ve been and the family is reunited, Butchie and Kai have a revelation, and Imperial Beach plays host to Stinkweed’s makeshift parade. It still leaves a lot of questions though.
