Fri, 9pm, NCIS, Five
It’s a bumper-packed weekend, so I’ll keep these brief… The investigation into the murder of a Marine takes a distinctly personal turn for Gibbs when it turns out one of the witnesses to the killing is his ex-wife. At least it gives them something interesting to break the ice with though, right?
Fri, 10pm, Numb3rs, Five
The team are called in when eight people are shot dead in a coffee shop (I’ll never ask for an extra shot of espresso again) and two of the victims are policemen. Nice to see DB Woodside, aka 24′s President Wayne Palmer, back on telly.
Fri, 9pm, The Border, FX
Okay, confession time, I haven’t seen this so have no idea if it’s any good or not. Anyone out there catch it last week? Tonight, an assassin targets a political cartoonist in Toronto who has angered the Muslim community. They haven’t exactly blown the budget on plot commissions, have they?
Sat, 9.15pm, CSI: NY, Five
During a flight to Washington DC, Mac uncovers a murder and sets up a makeshift crime lab at 30,000ft using ‘hastily improvised apparatus’ – presumably including a plastic fork, a 5cmx5cm wet wipe, a tiny pillow and some headphones. Boy, he’s good.
Sun, 9pm, Lost, Sky1
NEW SERIES Ah, bliss, a double bill to kick off series five of the best TV show in the world ever. I’ll be watching it again, even though I’ve already seen the preview. And probably recording it to watch again afterwards. It’s that good.
Sun, 9pm, Supernatural, ITV2
NEW SERIES Double bill series openers are obviously ‘the new black’, darling – everyone’s doing them. Dean has managed to survive being killed by the hellhound and has somehow been freed from hell, ready for more evil-fighting escapades with brother Sam.
Sun, 10pm, Generation Kill, FX
NEW SERIES A gritty new drama, from the people who brought you The Wire and The Corner (right, Bob?), about a platoon of US soldiers dodging bullets in Iraq. Stirring stuff but probably not one to watch with your granny – she’s probably watching some Julie Walters drama on BBC2 anyway.

I watched The Border, but it was a little bit dull. Not really my cup of tea. I’m no critic, but it was quite slow and it was like watching a program about Canadians moaning about the Americans…
Wow! Really awesome post!
… spy vs spy hehe.
