We know, this has nothing to do with US telly, but it’s for charity, and we’re all for a bit of that…
Channel 4 are releasing the DVD of Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live at the 02 on DVD from April 26th, with proceeds from the sale going to Great Ormond Street Hospital, the amazing London hospital which specialises in treating children.
The event was shown on Channel 4 at Easter, and the DVD features the entire night of comedy, with more than 35 of the nation’s favourite comedians and TV presenters taking to the stage, including Noel Fielding, David Mitchell, Jack Dee, Jason Manford, Jo Brand, Jonathan Ross, Kevin Bridges, Lee Evans, Ruth Jones, Michael McIntyre, Rich Hall, Shappi Khorsandi and Rob Brydon. On top of all this, Stomp performed two major routines with Alan Carr and Bill Bailey.
Now it’d be churlish to give the DVD away since it’s for charity, but instead we have a pack of 3 DVDs featuring gigs by three of the acts featured. The DVDs are Michael McIntyre – Live 2009, Jason Manford – Live at the Manchester Apollo and Lee Evans – Access All Arenas!
To enter, all you have to do is answer this extremely tough question:
Q) How many comedians and TV presenters took part in Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live at the 02?
1) Over 10
2) Only 12
3) Over 35
And while you’re entering, GO AND BUY the DVD of the Comedy Gala and do your bit to help Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Email us your answer, with ‘Comedy DVDs competition’ clearly marked in the subject line, at tvspy@ipcmedia.com. The competition will close at midnight on Thursday 13 May 2010. PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept entries submitted via the comments section of our blog. All entries must be via email.
